The Indian and Afghanistan team are going neck-to-neck in the ongoing Super 8 fixture of the T20 World Cup 2024. As India lost three wickets early in the match, Suryakumar Yadav fought brilliantly for the Men In Blue's cause in the Kennington Oval on Thursday.

Thanks to the Suryakumar's valiant efforts against the Rashid Khan-led side, Team India could notch a total of 182 runs on a slower track, where the ball is gripping for the spinners. SKY played a fine hand for his 28-ball 53, where he decorated five fours and three biggies; but his innings was cut short by Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Soon after completing his fifty with a six and four, Surya tried to launch a back of length ball but it took off the toe off his blade. The ball ballooned in the air towards long-off, where Mohammad Nabi took the skier.

The World No.1 batter got a spellbinding support from Team India's vice-captain, where slammed a rapid 32. Apart from them, Virat Kohli (24), Rishabh Pant (20) and Axar Patel (12) played supporting hands throughout the innings.

Chasing a total of 183 runs, Afghanistan have lost three wickets inside in the powerplay. After 8 overs, the chasing team's total reads 47/3, with Gulbadin Naib and Azmatullah Omarzai in the middle.
