Rohit Sharma showed his class on Wednesday (September 27) in India’s third and final ODI against Australia in Rajkot. The Men in Blue skipper, coming in after a two-match break, tore apart the potent Australian attack, consisting of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins.

For some time, Rohit is known for being one of the sweetest timers of the cricket ball. After coming to chase a 353-run target, the veteran opener smashed sixes after sixes left, right, and center to make the Australian pacers look helpless.

The six that Rohit hit against Starc at the end of the fifth over, out of his first five, received the most attention. The opener displayed nothing less than exquisite timing when he foresaw a length delivery outside the off-stump coming and graciously lofted it over extra cover for a maximum.

Rohit played a similar six a few overs earlier, but the sound of the bat on this one left everyone in awe.

At the time of writing, India have reached 66/0 in nine overs, with Rohit batting on 48* off 29 balls alonside Washington Sundar, who is on 17* off 26 balls. The Men in Blue still require 286 runs to score in 41 overs with all ten wickets in hand.
