In the third and final Test of the ongoing three-Test series at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Will Young played an important role for New Zealand as they faced challenges against India. After Kiwis won the toss and elected to bat first, they quickly lost wickets on Day 1. India started strong by dismissing captain Tom Latham for 28 runs and Devon Conway for just 4 runs.

Despite the early setbacks, Will Young stood firm. His elegant stroke play gave New Zealand hope. Unfortunately, his innings came to an end when he was dismissed by Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Young scored 71 runs off 138 balls and aimed for a century to help his team post a solid score on board.

The incident occurred during the 44th over of New Zealand's first innings when Sir Ravindra Jadeja delivered a nice delivery. Jadeja bowled it full and targeted the off stump, making the ball turn sharply off the pitch. Young tried to defend, but the ball beat his bat and took the outside edge. Rohit Sharma, stationed at near the first slip, caught the ball cleanly. After taking the stunning catch, Rohit jumped with joy and celebrated the wicket.

India continued to make an impact by removing big players from the New Zealand batting lineup. In the same over, Jadeja struck again, sending Tom Blundell back to the pavilion for a duck on just his third ball. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar took two wickets ealier. He removed captain Tom Latham, who scored 28 runs and Rachin Ravindra for just five runs

At this point in the match, New Zealand are struggling at 187 for 5 in 53 overs. Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips were at the crease.
