India's former opener Robin Uthappa had a memorable outing in the much-anticipated Hong Kong Sixes match against Pakistan. Opening the batting for India Sixes, Uthappa hammered 31 runs off only eight deliveries, helping his side get a brisk start to their innings.
Robin Uthappa, who leads India in the tournament, came out to open the batting alongside Bharat Chipli. The swashbuckling batters took on the Pakistani bowlers right from the word go, smashing them all around the park.
Uthappa took a particular liking for Aamer Yamin, hammering him for two consecutive boundaries in the very first over. He continued his onslaught over the Pakistani speedster, dispatching his third ball into the stands for a picturesque six.
The former RCB and KKR player hit another boundary off the fourth ball, while smashing another six off the penultimate delivery. The explosive right-handed batter timed it perfectly, with the ball sailing over the extra cover fence for six runs. Before getting castled by Faheem Ashraf, Uthappa struck a quick-fire eight-ball 31 with the help of three fours and sixes.
