IND vs NZ, Day 1 Stumps: India cede momentum to visitors
Nice start and then an absolute HARAKIRI!!!!! India lost three wickets in the last eight balls of the day. First Jaiswal fell playing a careless shot, then Mohammed Siraj was trapped in front of the stumps and then rush blood and brain fade moment for Virat Kohli. From 78/1 to 86/4 India faced a sudden collapse and have given the momentum to New Zealand.
India will start Day 2 trailing by 149 runs. Let us hope that they stabilise at the beginning of the day. The Indian batter need to bat out of their skin tomorrow to come back into this match.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: GONE, GONE JAISWAL!!
Just when we praised the India youngster, Ajaz Patel worked his magic and got the big breakthrough. Through the gates and Jaiswal's stumps is uprooted. He miscues a shot as the ball sneaks through the gap.
Also, Mohammed Siraj was sent in as the nightwatchman and he, too, departs for a golden duck as India in deep, deep trouble.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Jaiswal-Gill steady India's ship
After the loss of Rohit Sharma, both Gill and Jaiswal have looked compact and have taken India's score to 65 runs. India will hope the duo can end the day on a high and can stay unbeaten when the day closes. While Jaiswal is batting at 22, Gill is looking solid at 27.
New Zealand have been bundled out for a paltry 235, thanks to a magical fifer from Ravindra Jadeja. At one stage they were set to cross the 300-run mark, but the Indian spinner weaved his magic on the field and did the damage.
Also, India have lost their first wicket, with yet another flop show from skipper Rohit Sharma, who just can't get out of the hail at the moment.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Jadeja gets another wicket!
Jaddu is breathing fire as NZ lose their 8th wicket. The off-spinner gets his fifer as the Kiwis have been pushed on the back-foot. Jaddu gets Ish Sodhi and Matt Henry to scalp yet another 5-wicket haul.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Mitchell's Love Affair With Mumbai Continues
Daryl Mitchell enjoys batting at Wankhede and he has kept New Zealand alive with a valiant fifty in the 3rd Test vs India. His gritty knock helps the Blackcaps breach the 200-run mark on what has supposed to be a tricky pitch.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Jaddu strikes!!!
Ohhh Jaddu, you always deliver when the team needs a wicket. Two quick wickets of Young and Blundell has once again brought India back in the contest. Suddenly, the Kiwis have lost 5 wickets and India will look to wrap things up quickly.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Will Young And Daryl Mitchell Stepped Up After Lunch!
The Kiwis have really stepped up their game after lunch. On the other hand, the Indian bowlers have been pretty sharp with their lines and lengths. Will Young has been a bit of a thorn in India’s side, while Daryl Mitchell is doing an awesome job as a solid support player.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: NZ once again on the charge!
After two quick wickets, India were back in the contest, but the Kiwis have once again staged a comeback as they look to take down the Indian attack. Will Young has reached his fifty and looks composed at the moment.
92/3 at lunch break and India won't be too unhappy with the performance. The wickets was led by Washington Sundar who grabbed Latham and Ravindra to keep the odds even heading into the lunch break.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Sundar on fire with back-to-back wickets!
Washington Sundar cannot do anything wrong at the moment. First, he traps Tom Latham with a pearler and follows it up with another important wicket of Rachin Ravindra as New Zealand have been rocked with crucial wickets.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Sundar Ends Latham's Gritty Knock With A Ripper
Bowled'em! What a magnificent delivery to get his first wicket by Washington Sundar. Just what India needed, Tom Latham has been castled with an absolute jaffa.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Latham, Young push India on backfoot
After the early wicket, Tom Latham and Will Young have taken the attack to the opposition. The boundary floodgates have opened and the Indian bowlers are looking clueless.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Akash Deep hitting the right lengths
Akash Deep has been the go to bowler in the early going as the seamer is hitting the right lines and lengths. On the contrary, Siraj is struggling and hasn't hit the proper lengths. He needs to sort it out quickly.
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Akash Deep Strikes For India!
Huge appeal and the umpire raises his finger!! Conway goes upstairs, but it's three reds in the Hawkeye. New Zealand lose their first wicket. This is brilliant from Akash Deep
IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Time For Live Action!

IND vs NZ, Day 1 Live Score: Jasprit Bumrah Misses Out As NZ Opt To Bat
New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and opted to bat first in the third Test against India at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Siraj replaces Bumrah, while New Zealand bring Ish Sodhi for Mitch Santner.
Team Preview: New Zealand
New Zealand have comprehensively outplayed India across departments in this series. Skipper Tom Latham had warned India about the Blackcaps' counterattacking strategy, which they have implemented quite well so far. The Indians have found their systematic approach tough to deal with, as the visitors haven't given an inch to the home team. Technically, New Zealand might like playing at Wankhede Stadium, considering the pitch's nature to keep the fast bowlers interested, particularly on day 1.
Team Preview: India
Led by Rohit Sharma, India have lost two consecutive Test matches in this series. After receiving an eight-wicket drubbing in the opening game in Bengaluru, the hosts succumbed to Mitchell Santner's wily left-arm spin, incurring a 113-run defeat in Pune. India have been so miserable that their most dependable bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has looked ineffective with the ball. So, as the caravan shifts to Mumbai, it will be interesting to see if the home side can avoid a humiliating whitewash.
