The incident occurred during the 33rd over of Sri Lanka's innings, when the game was evenly poised. After Janith Liyanage's caught behind dismissal was turned down by the TV umpire, Sundar pulled out himself while bowling the second ball. 

The spinner had some issues once again, as he withdrew himself from bowling for the second consecutive time. His actions induced an interesting reaction from skipper Rohit Sharma. 

The talismanic Indian batter, who was stationed at first slip, expressed his frustration with a witty reaction, as he threatened to beat up the spinner. 

Thus, Rohit, who is known for his hilarious on-field antics, caused laughter in the Indian camp through his sense of humour. 

On the other hand, Sundar has enjoyed stellar success in the game, scalping three crucial wickets so far in the match. 

Riding on his spin bowling exploits, India have reduced the Lankan Lions to 136 for six in 34.5 overs as of writing.
