The ongoing India-Sri Lanka series in Colombo is turning out to be a great experience for the fans, as in the first ODI, the match ended in a tie after Charith Asalanka took two wickets in two balls, which resulted in India failing to chase one run. 

However, the umpiring standards have been below par in this series, as even in the first ODI, Joel Wilson came under the light for a few controversial decisions, which got overturned because of DRS. 

Meanwhile, another umpiring blunder occurred in the 2nd and ongoing ODI, as on the 3rd ball of the 12th over, the ball passed close to Kusal Mendis' bat who looked to defend it on his front foot. 

The keeper and first slip appealed and were confident of an edge. Meanwhile, the umpire too raised his finger while the decision left Kusal Mendis and bowler Axar Patel shocked. 

Kusal immediately went for a review, which showed a massive gap between the bat and the ball.

It is worth noting that the umpires came under scrutiny after there was no super over played between India and Sri Lanka despite a tied game.
