Washington Sundar- Wicket
After a positive start in the 2nd ODI, Sri Lanka are in trouble as they have failed to read Washington Sundar. The right-arm off-spinner was quick to make an impact in the game and took two quick wickets.
Sri Lanka were cruising in the game with 70/1 at one point, but Sundar took a wicket in his second over when he got rid of Avishka Fernando.
Sundar got the main man in his 3rd over when he got rid of Kusal Mendis. The right-arm off-spinner trapped him in front of the wickets and the umpires raised his finger for LBW.
Notably, Mendis went for a sweep but missed the ball altogether. Eventually, Kusal returned to the pavilion with a score of 30 (42), which featured 3 fours.

At the time of writing this article, Sri Lanka are 101/3 after 25 overs. Meanwhile, Sundar impressed with the ball in the first ODI as well, where he took a solitary wicket in his nine overs.
The first impression under Gautam Gambhir's era is that he is looking Sundar as a crucial player of the Indian side going forward.
