The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to keep a week for warm-up matches before the focus gets onto the Champions Trophy 2025.

As reported by cricketpakistan.com.pk, the board, who still holds the rights to host the event single-handedly, will use this window as 'support period,' where participating teams will have some exhibition contests to get some practice before the showpiece event.

"A seven-day span from February 12 to 18 has been allocated as a 'support period.' Throughout this time, the participating teams will partake in warm-up matches and conduct media and promotional activities in accordance with the set protocols," the report read.

Notably, this will be the first Champions Trophy since 2017, which Pakistan won by defeating India in the final.
