The 2nd ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium witnessed an excellent moment as India's star all rounder Washington Sundar broke the building partnership by sending Avishka Fernando packing for 40 runs off 62 balls.

On the final ball of the 17th over of the Sri Lanka's innings, Washington Sundar bowled a full length delivery pitching outside the leg stump. Avishka Fernando lunged forward closing the face of the bat without enough footwork. The ball spun in and took a leading edge of the bat. It flew towards Sundar who happily accepted the catch. 

Earlier in the game Charith Asalanka's Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first against Rohit Sharma and Co. They started strong however, at the time of writing Sri Lanka are at 96/3 with the Captain Asalanka and Sadeera Samarawickrama on strike helping to get Sri Lanka gain the momentum back.

From India's bowling line-up, Mohd Siraj picked the first wicket of the innings by sending Pathum Nissanka packing on the very first ball of the game.
