Avesh Khan removes Sikandar Raza [X.com]
Zimbabwe's star batter Sikandar Raza fell short of making a significant impact as he was dismissed by Avesh Khan in the opening match of the five-match T20I series between Zimbabwe and India at Harare Stadium on July 9.
The Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, won the toss and opted to bowl first, a decision that quickly paid off as they removed Zimbabwe’s top order with disciplined bowling.
The crucial wicket of Sikandar came in the 12th over. Avesh Khan delivered a back-of-a-length ball outside the off-stump with a bit of extra bounce. Raza attempted to pull it over mid-wicket, but the ball hit high on the bat and flew towards long-on.
Ravi Bishnoi, sprinting in from long-on, executed a superb diving catch to his right, ending Raza’s innings at 17 runs off 19 balls.

Earlier in the match, Ravi Bishnoi also contributed with the ball by dismissing Brian Bennet, who had scored 22 runs.
At the time of writing, Zimbabwe are struggling at 89 for 6 in 14 overs, facing a daunting task to post a competitive total against a formidable Indian bowling attack.
