Rishabh Pant is certainly enjoying his time in the ongoing Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B. Pant's fitness, especially in the longer format was in doubt ahead of the Duleep Trophy opener, but he has proven his critics wrong with superhuman efforts throughout the game.

One such incident took place on the fourth day, when the Indian keeper grabbed a flying-catch and shocked the cricketing fraternity. Pundits questioned Rishabh Pant's fitness level, since this was his comeback at the first-class level, and keeping for 90 overs is a difficult task. However, he showed his class by grabbing the catch of Avesh Khan.

With India B needing 2 wickets to seal the win, captain Abhimanyu Easwaran set an aggressive field placement and asked Navdeep Saini to bowl a shorter delivery to Avesh Khan. Navdeep, came around the wicket and targeted the body of Avesh, and the batter got a faint-nick trying to nudge the ball.

The delivery travelled quickly to the left of Pant, who leaped in the air and timed his jump to perfection to grab a stunning catch. With this catch, Pant showed that he is ready for the upcoming Bangladesh challenge.

India B thrash India A in Duleep Trophy opener

At one stage during the first innings, India B were on the back-foot, but once Musheer Khan slammed a sensational 181, tides turned in their favour. The bowlers did the rest of the job as India A batters looked clueless against them.

Even the likes of Shubman Gill, known for his solid technique, failed to deliver the goods as India A lost the match by 76 runs. Only KL Rahul provided some assistance, as he scored a gritty 57 in the second innings.
