[Watch] Rishabh Pant Fails To Shine On His ODI Comeback; Gets Stumped In A Bizarre Manner

In the ongoing 3rd and final ODI against Sri Lanka, Rishabh Pant failed to perform on his ODI comeback as he returned to the pavilion with a score of 6 (9), which featured a solitary four. 

On the 2nd ball of the 10th over, Pant stepped out of his crease to smash the ball for a boundary but soon changed his mind and look to defend the ball but it was too late. Eventually, he fell prey to Maheesh Theekshana, who is also playing his first game of the ongoing series.

Pant returned to the playing XI for the first time since November 2022, as he last featured for India in 2022 before his fatal car accident. 

At the time of writing this article, India are in deep trouble as they have lost seven wickets for 96 runs. The openers also departed early and failed to provide the platform for the coming batters to seal a win. 

Pant replaced KL Rahul for this game, but did not just disappoint with the bat as he also had dull moments in the field. There was an instance in the first innings where Pant missed an easy stumping.
