In the ongoing 2nd ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the hosts, batting first, put 240 runs on the board. 

It was a mixed innings for the Island Nation, as they lost a wicket on the first ball, but then put on a solid show with the bat. However, the Charith Asalanka-led side failed to read the spin and lost quick wickets to put themselves in trouble. 

However, Dunith Wellalage and Kamindu Mendis rose to the occasion and helped Sri Lanka to post a big total on the board. Meanwhile, they could have added a few more runs to the total but lost two wickets to run-outs in the last over.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer stole the limelight, as he produced a stunning run-out with a direct hit from 45 yards out. He just had a stump to aim at and made a brilliant run-out. 

Iyer was impressed with his throw and even Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was shocked by the throw.

At the time of writing this article, India are 24/0 after 4.1 overs.  The run-out was similar to one KL Rahul produced against Bangladesh in T20 World Cup 2022.
