In the ongoing first T20I between India and Sri Lanka, the Men in Blue, batting first, put 213/7 on the board. 

Captain Suryakumar Yadav was on song as he scored a fifty, while Rishabh Pant too assisted him well with 49 (33). India were projected to score above 230 as openers Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal set up the perfect platform by scoring 74 runs in the powerplay, but things slowed down towards the end for the Men in Blue.

All eyes were on Rinku Singh to provide the finishing touch towards the end, but the KKR star batter failed to impress his ex-KKR mentor turned now India head coach Gautam Gambhir as he scored just 1 (2).

In Rinku's defence, he did not get to face many deliveries but had the chance to score big in the last three balls of the first innings. However, in an attempt to hit a big shot, he found the inside edge and the ball went on to hit the stumps.
