In the ongoing 3rd Test match between England and West Indies, Alzarri Joseph has provided the much-needed breakthrough for West Indies. 

The side from the Caribbean started day 2 on a positive note as they restricted England to 54/5. However, Ben Stokes and Joe Root stitched a 115-run stand for the sixth wicket. 

Right after lunch, Alzarri got rid of dangerous Stokes with a sharp bouncer. On the 2nd ball of the 36th over, Joseph tested the English skipper with a bouncer, who tried to pull it away for a four, but only found West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite, who made no mistake.

It was a special moment for Alzarri Joseph, as he picked Ben Stokes as his 100th scalp in Test cricket. Joseph has made an illustrious career as Virat Kohli was his first Test wicket. 

Talking about Joseph, he became the 24th West Indies bowler to take 100 Test wickets. However, he is the only bowler except for Abdul Razzaq to not take multiple five-wicket hauls in Test cricket. 

At the time of writing this article, England are 203/6 and only trail by 79 runs.
