Matheesha Pathirana produced a deadly delivery to end Suryakumar Yadav's scintillating knock in the first T20I at Pallekele.

He took SKY's wicket when the Indian skipper was in a mood to run away with the contest. To put into context, Suryakumar scored a 22-ball fifty, as it rained fours and sixes from his bat. The newly appointed T20I captain was at his imperial best, with the Lankan bowlers looking helpless.

Pathirana produces deadly delivery to knock over SKY

The Lankan Lions needed a moment of magic and Pathirana provided that with a deadly fuller length delivery on the stumps. SKY shuffled across and tried to flick it away, but he was late on his attempted shot as the ball struck him on the front-pad.

The umpire raised his finger, but SKY took the decision upstairs. However, the decision stayed in the bowling teams' favour as the ball was going on to clip the stumps. By the time he was dismissed, SKY had already added 58 runs in 26 deliveries.
