India's women's team achieved a flawless clean sweep 3-0 victory in the WODI series against South Africa. Harmanpreet Kaur led India to a convincing 6-wicket win in the third WODI, with Richa Ghosh sealing the game with a Dhoni-esque six, finishing off a dominant series for India.

The standout performer of the series was Indian vice captain Smriti Mandhana, named Player of the Series for her outstanding contributions, including two centuries and a crucial 90 in the this third match. The Indian vice-captain played a pivotal role throughout in the series.

After Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur laid the platform in the chase, the hard-hitting Richa Ghosh sealed the game in MS Dhoni's style - with a six to finish off the game.


South Africa Women batted first and posted 215-8 in 50 overs, with captain Laura Wolvaardt who scored a century in last game top-scoring with 61 runs.

Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma was instrumental with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for just 27 runs, earning her the Player of the Match award. Arundhati Reddy also picked up 2 wickets.

In reply, Smriti Mandhana anchored India's chase, well-supported by Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 42 runs. Harmanpreet was unlucky to get runout after getting a good start.

Both Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur had earlier scored centuries in the second WODI, which India won by 4 runs. Smriti Mandhana scored century in the first game as well which India Women won for 143 runs.

However, the series is not over yet as attention now turns to the one-off Test match commencing this Friday at Chennai's Chidambaram Stadium.
