He has now come up with another brutal remark on Pakistan Journalist Wajahat Kazmi who tried to defame India by claiming that Afghanistan can win against any team but not India due to their IPL contract.

The claimed by Pakistan journalist was made on social Media handle X, and Ashwin was clear in his views that he should have the right to decide who enters his timeline, and was indicating that such toxic behaviour should not be tolerated by the owner of prestigious social media platform X.

Changing Fortunes of Afghanistan and Pakistan Cricket

Afghanistan lately grabbed headlines when they beat Australia in the Super 8 game of T20 World Cup 2024, and had outclass Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka in the 50-over World Cup in India. They are a team on rise, while Pakistan's fortunes have been going downhill in recent past as they could not do well in World Cup 2023, and could not even make it to the Super 8 in T20 World Cup 2024.

The Afghan players led by Rashid Khan are quite famous in India due to their exploits in Indian Premier League, but the claims of them being purposely not interested in beating India due to money that IPL offers is certainly not the remark they would like to entertain.
