[Watch] Richa Ghosh Breaks Down In Tears After RCB's 1-Run Loss To DC In WPL 2024

RCB and heartbreak is a love story made in heaven. Everytime they come close to achieving their goal, something bad happens and they end up falling at the wrong end of the spectrum. In the 17th match of WPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals Women and RCB Women, Smriti Mandhana and co. suffered another shattering loss as Richa Ghosh got run out on the final delivery which resulted in DC emerging victorious by 1-run.

Richa Ghosh who did everything she could do and smashed 51 off 29 balls, brought the equation to two required off the final delivery with a magnificent six on the penultimate ball of the match. However, it was again a matter of too close yet too far and Richa Ghosh broke down in tears after the loss, bringing back memories of numerous heartbreaks RCB have suffered over the years in IPL.

The credit though should go to Jess Jonassen who held her nerve despite getting hit for two sixes in the over.  She bowled it very full and on off. Richa Ghosh made room and sliced it to backward point. The batters sprinted for a single but Arundhati Reddy picked the ball quickly, threw it to Jonassen at the bowler's end and Richa Ghosh who put up a desperate dive to complete the single, fail short by the barest of margin.

DC with this win have qualified for the playoffs and RCB now have to win their final game against MI on 12th of March to keep their qualification hopes in their own hands.
