Royal Challengers Bengaluru's premier batter Will Jacks oozed his class for Surrey in their recent Vitality Blast game against Essex at Chelmsford County Ground. 

Opening the batting for the visitors, Jacks hammered 86 runs off 46 balls, playing a vital role in Surrey's resounding victory.

After opting to bowl first, Essex had a dream start with the ball, as Shane Snater got rid of Dominic Sibley for a run-a-ball 12. 

However, his dismissal had a little impact on his opening partner, Will Jacks, who kept hammering the Essex bowlers all around the park. 

Despite wickets falling at the other end, Jacks continued his onslaught, helping Surrey score runs at a rapid pace. 

His explosive knock that included six fours and five sixes came at a strike rate of 186.96 as he struck 86 runs off just 46 deliveries. 

He took a particular liking for the Essex spinners, smashing him for multiple maximums before falling prey to Essex skipper Simon Harmer in the 16th over. 

Riding on Jacks' scintillating innings, Surrey powered themselves to a daunting 189-run total. In response, Essex finished on 176/8, losing the match by 13 runs in spite of Adam Rossington's fireworks.
