Rashid Khan stole the show in the Hundred 2024 on Monday (July 29) while playing for Trent Rockets for the first time in the ongoing edition in Match 7 of the competition against Manchester Originals. 

The ace Afghanistan star, who often makes impact with the ball in hand, smashed as long as 101-metre six against Tom Hartley, who took three wickets earlier.

It was a flighted delivery outside the off stump by the left-arm spinner, and Rashid, batting on 1* off 1 ball, went for it with all his power. The ball sailed over the deep mid-wicket region for a monstrous six, and no wonder Rashid was delighted to announce his arrival in style.

Eventually, Trent Rockets closed on 145/7, with Rashid remaining not out on 15* off 9 deliveries. Tom Banton top-scored with a breezy 22-ball 45, while the rest failed to carry on the momentum going.

Apart from Hartley, who conceded 25 off his 20 balls despite the six, Sikandar Raza was impressive for Manchester, having picked 2/29 off his 20 deliveries.
