A fan, who looked very similar to Sanju Samson, refused to give the ball back on Sunday when the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 fixture was happening between Chepauk Super Gillies and Siechem Madurai Panthers at NPR College Ground, Dindigul.

It was Match 27 of the ongoing edition when the hilarious incident took place when a left-handed batter smashed a right arm quick out of the ground when the latter came to bowl around the wicket.

The fan picked it up, and when asked to return, replied in a hilarious manner, saying this was not going to be back in the field.

Nevertheless, Siechem Madurai Panthers won the match by nine runs, with wicket-keeper batter Suresh Lokeshwar winning the Player of the Match award for his impressive 40-ball 55.

Batting first, Siechem Madurai Panthers posted 191/4. In reply, Chepauk Super Gillies closed on 182/8, courtesy of fighting 45+ scores from Pradosh Ranjan Paul and Santosh K Duraisamy.

Lyca Kovai Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans will play the Qualifier 1 of the ongoing edition on July 30, while Dindigul Dragons will face Chepauk Super Gillies in the Eliminator.
