[Watch] Rajat Patidar's 'Bizarre' Dismissal In His Debut Test Match Against England

Rajat Patidar made his much-awaited Test debut against England at Vizag and looked in fine touch before an unfortunate dismissal sent him back on 32.  Rajat Patidar played 72 balls and hit three boundaries as well, mixing caution with aggression nicely.

Rehan Ahmed though bowled a nice googly that turned in and bounced a bit too. Patidar lunged forward to defend it but the ball hit the left half of his blade and bit high as it went backwards after falling on the turf. Patidar tried his best to stop it but the ball evaded him and went onto hit the stumps, leaving Patidar completely heart-broken.

It was a much-needed wicket for England who were looking short of ideas with Jaiswal and Patidar going great guns. Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bat first but lost both Rohit and Gill early.

There was a decent partnership between Shreyas and Jaiswal after that but Shreyas too fell after getting a start as Jaiswal marched onto get his maiden Test century in India. He is still going strong, but need someone to stay with him as India look to post a big first innings total at Vizag.
