In the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match between Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and Guyana Amazon Warriors, Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz has hogged the headlines for his explosive hitting.

So far, Antigua, batting first, put a decent 168/6 on the board after 20 overs. In reply, the Warriors opted for a KKR-like strategy and sent Gudakesh Motie to open the innings.

The premier spinner did score a maximum, but the move backfired after his stumps were uprooted on the following delivery. Nonetheless, the wicket did not stop Gurbaz from playing his natural game.

The right-hand batter scored 20 (14), which, interestingly, featured no fours but two maximums.

The 22-year-old took over the internet following his first six that nearly landed outside the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

On the 3rd ball of the 3rd over, Gurbaz put his dancing shoes on against Shamar Springer and danced down the track to dispatch the ball with utmost power.

The sound of the ball connecting with the bat left the commentators and the fans in awe as the ball too went high in the air and looked like it would leave the stadium.

The 22-year-old failed to convert his start into a big score as Pakistan's Imad Wasim got rid of him, following which the Afghan star batter was frustrated with himself over the shot selection.

For a change, Gurbaz, a regular keeper, was seen in the outfield without gloves, as Guyana went ahead with Azam Khan as their first-choice keeper. Meanwhile, the budding Pakistani cricketer also shut his critics after he produced a stunning diving effort to run his countryman Imad Wasim out.

The franchise has not hinted whether they would continue with Azam as their regular keeper or revert to Gurbaz in the matches to come.
