In the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 match between the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and the Guyana Amazon Warriors, the Falcons' innings have been a mixed bag. After winning the toss, the Warriors' skipper Imran Tahir opted to bowl first, a decision that quickly paid dividends. 

Antigua and Barbuda Falcon's opener Teddy Bishop once again failed to provide the team with a strong start, which left Fakhar Zaman to anchor the innings. 

Kofi James Failed To  Capitalise

Fakhar Zaman managed to hold his ground and formed a crucial partnership with Kofi James after Bishop's early dismissal.

However, the Warriors kept the pressure on and took wickets at regular intervals. Kofi James, despite his potential, couldn't capitalise on his start and was eventually dismissed by Gudakesh Motie.

In the 10th over, Motie, using his experience and skill, broke the partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Kofi James. He bowled a well-executed arm ball at 92.4 kmph, that targeted the middle stump. James attempted to flick it across the line, but the delivery was an well executed yorker, which resulted in his dismissal.

Motie did not stop here, he further went and scalped crucial wickets of Sam Billings and Jewel Andrew. His ability to apply pressure and take wickets at crucial moments has significantly impacted the match and made it challenging for the Falcons to post a competitive total. At the time of writing,  Imad Wasim and Fabian Allen are present at the crease and Falcons are at 143/5 in 18 overs. 

It is important to note that the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, despite their valiant efforts, lost their opening match against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. And they will be eager to bounce back in this game to secure their first points in the tournament.
