The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are playing their second consecutive game in the CPL 2024 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. After facing a defeat against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the tournament opener, the Falcons are up against the defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors. 

The skipper of the Warriors, Imran Tahir won the toss before the game and but the Falcons to bat. Much like the first match of the tournament, the Falcons lost an early wicket. Once again Fakhar Zaman came to the rescue of the team with his counter-attacking brand of cricket. Kofi James played a crucial role alongside Zaman to get the innings back on track.

The skipper of the Warriors, Imran Tahir became a victim of Zaman's onslaught in the sixth over of the innings. Tahir conceded 17 runs in the that over to the Pakistani batter, where the Southpaw hit him for a couple of huge sixes and a four. 

The maximum that came of the last ball of the over was a particularly destructive shot that grabbed the eyes off all the spectators. Tahir tossed up this ball at the middle and leg stump and Zaman spotted the time on the ball very early. He moved away from the line and swatted it away over the long-off fence for maximum. 

The partnership between Zaman and James worked 74 runs and set the tone for the Falcons. The Falcons have lost five wickets at the time of writing. The latest wicket to fall for them is Fakhar Zaman, dismissed by Dwaine Pretorious. 

At the time of writing, the Falcons are stationed at 126/5 in 16.3 overs.
