India's star spinner R Ashwin has dropped in his all-time IPL XI. The right-arm off-spinner who features for Rajasthan Royals has named just two CSK stars.

In his all-time playing XI, Ashwin opted for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the opening partners.

In the middle order, Ashwin went with chinna thala Suresh Raina, Ab de Villiers and Suryakumar Yadav.

Without any surprise, MS Dhoni makes it to the list as the off-spinner also assigned leadership and wicket-keeping duties to thala.

Ashwin utilised his overseas quota in the bowling department, as he opted for Lasith Malinga, Rashid Khan and Sunil Narine in his dream XI. Further, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar Cut.

R Ashwin's All-Time IPL XI: Rohit, Kohli, Raina, Surya, Devilliers, Dhoni (C & WK), Narine, Rashid, Bhuvi, Malinga, Bumrah.

Jadeja And Pandya Missing

Some of the noticeable names missing from Ashwin's list are Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya.

Ashwin has played numerous games with Jadeja, as the two formed a formidable duo and still continue to do the same in Test crickets. Talking about CSK, Ashwin and Jadeja have played a lot of games together.

R Ashwin Backs Impact Player Rule For IPL 2025

Ahead of IPL 2025 mega-auction, Ashwin, who is likely to go under the hammer has come in support of the much debated impact player rule.

"Why I think the Impact Player rule is not so bad is because it gives a little more value for strategy," Ashwin said on Kris Srikkanth's YouTube show Cheeky Cheeka. "The other side of that argument is it doesn't encourage allrounders. But no one is stopping them, remarked Ashwin."
