New Zealand Cricket announced on Wednesday that the national team will compete against England, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan during the home summer of 2024-25.

The Black Caps will play three Test matches, six One Day Internationals (ODIs), and eight Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) throughout the season.

New Zealand cricket set to have blockbuster home season

The summer season will begin on November 28 with a series against England. The first Test of the three-match series will take place in Christchurch, followed by the remaining two Tests in Wellington and Hamilton.

Afterward, New Zealand will participate in away Tests against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and India in the following months. They will return home to face Sri Lanka in a series that includes three T20Is and three ODIs.

The Black Caps will then travel to Pakistan for a tri-series in ODIs, which will also feature South Africa. This tri-series serves as preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to be held in Pakistan.

The Champions Trophy will kick off on February 19, and following the tournament, New Zealand will host Pakistan for a series of five T20Is and three ODIs, running until April 3. This schedule may overlap with the IPL 2025 season.

Summer Schedule for New Zealand Women's team

During the home summer, the New Zealand women's team will welcome Australia and Sri Lanka for six ODIs and six T20Is. The series against Australia will take place in two parts: three ODIs in December and three T20Is in late March.

In March, Sri Lanka will play all their matches at once. Additionally, the last five T20Is will be held as double-headers alongside the men's team games.
