India's seasoned Test player, Cheteshwar Pujara, is leaving no stone unturned in his preparations for the upcoming Test season as he eyes a comeback into the national side after a 15-month-long layoff.

Cheteshwar Pujara, once known for his solid technique and resilience at the crease, disappeared from the Indian Test team following a decline in form. During the WTC final in 2023, Pujara scored 41 runs combined in both innings, which led to his immediate ouster from the team.

Pujara, who has played 103 Test matches for India, was dropped from the West Indies tour in 2023 and has since struggled his way to make a comeback. Amid a wave of youth influx, it's speculated that perhaps the veteran's run in red ball cricket is over.

However, Pujara, 35, refuses to give up. He is consistently playing County Cricket for Sussex and is an active member of the Saurashtra Team that features in the Ranji Trophy.

Meanwhile, ahead of India's highly anticipated Test season, Pujara has been rigorously working on his game, ensuring he is in top form to face the challenges ahead.

In a video posted on social media platforms, Cheteshwar Pujara is seen engaged in a gritty practice session. Pujara's practice sessions have been intensive, focusing on trademark defensive techniques.

However, it seems unlikely that Cheteshwar Pujara will be considered for selection for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy. The youth have hogged in the opportunities lately to cement their place in the red ball team.

Regardless, Pujara is not yet ready to give up on his professional career and the national comeback dream as he strives to improve himself to match the evolving standards and dynamics of the modern-day game.
