In a staggering display of power-hitting, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Rachin Ravindra took on Pakistan’s seasoned spinner Imad Wasim, scoring 17 runs in a single over during the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 game between Washington Freedom and Seattle Orcas.

Seattle Orcas were bowled out for 124 runs by Washington Freedom while batting first in the eighth fixture of the MLC 2024 edition. Saurabh Netravalkar and Lockie Ferguson starred with seven wickets combined.

Meanwhile, in the chase, Washington Freedom received a big blow in the form of Travis Head. The explosive opener was sent packing on a duck in the first over by Imad Wasim.

However, the next batter on the crease, Rachin Ravindra, wasn’t impacted by the early blow, as he unleashed an onslaught over Imad to fetch a massive 18-run over in the powerplay.

For the third over, Imad Wasim returned to the attack to further dismantle the Freedom. However, Ravindra foiled his plans with a 77-metre six on the very first delivery. 

Wasim was under the pump and ended up bowling a quicker delivery next. However, the spinner got the line wrong and offered too much width for the Kiwi batter to stay in the crease and slash a boundary through the square in the off-side.

Moreover, Rachin Ravindra topped it off with another maximum on the final delivery. This time, Imad fed him a fuller delivery as he got down on one knee and lofted a massive six over extra cover to accomplish a big over for his side.
