Nathan Ellis is considered as one of the finest T20 bowlers and his ability to use his variations and nail those yorkers in a T20 game has made him a hot commodity in franchise cricket. He is an important asset for Australia in international cricket too, but he has made his name from BBL, playing for Hobart Hurricanes.

Now, in the 17th match of the BBL 2023-24, Ellis was leading Hobart Hurricanes and produced a ripper in his first over to get the better of Hilton Cartwright. Hurricanes who were bundled out for just 155 in the first innings, needed early wickets and they got exactly that as Melbourne Stars lost three wickets for just 6 runs.

The third one of those was of Hilton Cartwright when Ellis pitched a delivery on good-length and got the ball to shape in quite sharpy as the Melbourne Stars batter looked clueless to the delivery that sneaked between his bat and pad to hit the middle stump.

However, Melbourne Stars did not lose any wicket after that and ended up winning the game by 7 wickets as the match was reduced to 7 overs with rain interrupting at Bellerive Oval.
