Prithvi Shaw fell for 11 off 18 balls on Monday (March 11) during Mumbai’s second innings against Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy 2024 final at Wankhede Stadium.

However, it was an unplayable delivery by the man who cleaned him up with the new ball during the seventh over of Mumbai’s innings. And he was none other than Lucknow Super Giants’ emerging superstar – Yash Thakur.

It was a good-length delivery by Yash, which pitched towards the middle and off stumps. The ball came in sharply and went through the gate before rattling the off stump.

Shaw had no clue whatsoever about the delivery, and he was in complete shock after the wicket. Additionally, he made a gesture indicating he appreciated the delivery's beauty.

At the time of writing this, Mumbai are leading by 180 runs, having reached 61/2 in the second innings. Musheer Khan and Ajinkya Rahane are in the middle, at 16* and 16*, respectively, whereas Shreyas Iyer and red-hot Shardul Thakur, among many others, are still to come.

Shaw will represent Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2024, scheduled to begin on March 22.
