Prithvi Shaw displayed excellent form while playing for Northamptonshire in their One-Day Cup 2024 match against Middlesex at Radlett Cricket Club on July 29, 2024. After Northamptonshire elected to bat, Shaw helped and stabilise the innings following the loss of two early wickets.

He achieved a swift half-century in just 33 balls, as he crossed the 50-run mark in the 11th over. Shaw went on to score 78 runs off 56 deliveries before being dismissed in the 19th over as he was caught by Josh De Caires off Luke Hollman's bowling.

His innings against Middlesex showcased his brilliant batting, explosive strokes, and complete elegance and temperament.

The Indian opener had a rocky start to the One-Day Cup campaign, with an initial score of just nine runs against Derbyshire. However, he showed improvement as he scored 40 runs off 34 balls in his next match against Hampshire and he continued the same form in this match against Middlesex. 

It is worth mentioning, that Prithvi Shaw demonstrated exceptional form in the last season of the One-Day Cup before being ruled out due to an injury. He scored a remarkable 244 runs against Somerset and followed it up with an unbeaten 125 against Durham.

Now only time will tell whether Shaw's stupendous form would help him to bag a whopping contract when the IPL 2025 mega auction takes place.
