The Champions Trophy 2025 drama is still ongoing, with Pakistan's hosting rights' still in jeopardy. In between, former Pakistan skipper and one of the greatest all-rounders of their nation, Shahid Afridi, spoke his heart out regarding the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) behaviour towards their star players.

In a recent media conference, Afridi slammed PCB for their treatment of star players following two failures in the back-to-back showpiece ICC events. There, Afridi referred to PCB as 'father to players', and they, including Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan, among others, deserve better now.

Here's What Shahid Afridi Said About PCB

"It is not right to pit players against each other to save oneself, so the cricket board should not use players as a means to protect itself. The Pakistan Cricket Board is like a father to the players. I have played for the Pakistan team for 20 to 22 years, and there have been many issues during my time," Afridi said, as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.

Furthermore, Afridi blamed PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi for all these happenings. The 47-year-old believes Naqvi should decide by himself how to tackle tough situations, rather than asking his advisors for a solution.

"Since Mohsin Naqvi holds both positions at the PCB and the Ministry of Interior, he should now make a decision and choose one position. If he follows the advice of the PCB advisors, he won't be able to achieve much," he added.

It will be interesting to see how the PCB handles the situation henceforth.
