Marcus Stoinis brought out his inner Rishabh Pant on Sunday while playing for Surrey Jaguars in Brampton in Match 7 of the Global T20 Canada 2024 against Toronto Nationals. The star Australian all-rounder, while facing Jatinderpal Matharu, smashed an effortless six with just one hand while making 57 off just 37 balls.

Stoinis' 'that' six came during the ninth over of Surrey Jaguars' innings. Matharu bowled a back-of-a-length delivery to him, and Stoinis pulled it hard over deep mid-wicket to smash a six with one hand for a nonchalant six.

Eventually, Surrey Jaguars won the match by 80 runs, as they posted 161/6 batting first. In reply, Toronto Nationals were bundled out for 81 in 17.1 overs, with Stoinis returning excellent figures with the ball as well, picking 3/19. Sunil Narine, on the other hand, was magnificent, having got figures of 4-0-5-3, while Mohammad Nabi had two wickets under his name.

Surrey Jaguars are third on the points table, with one win and one defeat. Toronto, on the other hand, are placed second, with two wins in three attempts thus far.
