Oman finished at 150/7 after opting to bat in Antigua against Scotland in match No. 20 of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Pratik Athavale was the hero with the bat, scoring 54 off 40, as he held the innings together. 

Oman middle-order batters were not able to continue with the momentum as there was hardly any contribution from the batters in the middle and they threw away their wickets after the start they got. 

After a significant contribution from opener Pratik Athavale, at the end of Oman's innings, Ayaan Khan's unbeaten 41 off 39 helped them to get to a competitive total. 


Athavale Departs After Playing Impactful Innings

In the 15th over of Oman's innings,  Athavale departed after playing an impactful innings. Chris Greaves bowled a delivery that was full on the middle stump. Athavale got down on one knee and attempted a slog sweep as he perfectly read the googly and hit with the spin. 

However, the ball was too full for him to get underneath it and he ended up hitting it flat. The shot lacked elevation, and Brandon McMullen, positioned at deep mid-wicket, ran in and dived forward to take crab a stunning catch, ending Athavale's stay at the crease.

Chasing the target Scotland's batters have started the innings well and have scored decent runs at the loss of just two wickets with  Brandon McMullen and  present at the crease. At the time of writing Scotland is 110/3 in 10 overs.
