In the ongoing first T20I between India and Sri Lanka, the Men in Blue, batting first, put 213/7 runs on the board. 

In reply, Sri Lanka got off to a positive start as they brought up 50 runs in the five overs without any loss of wickets.

Meanwhile, Pathum Nissanka is breathing fire as he is taking down Indian bowlers. At the time of writing this article, Nissanka has raced to a quickfire 30 (18), which has featured three fours and two sixes. 

He also took the 2023 Asia Cup's revenge and schooled Mohammed Siraj by smashing him for two sixes. Siraj came to bowl his 2nd over in the 4th over, and he went for sixes on his fourth and sixth deliveries.

On the fourth ball, Nissanka danced down the wicket but smashed the short delivery for six over the third man for a six. His best shot came on the last ball of the over as he pulled off a Rohit-like pull that went miles.

Notably, Siraj was the player of the match in the 2023 Asia Cup final as he took a six-wicket haul and his scintillating display helped India restrict Sri Lanka to just 50 runs. At the time of writing this article, Sri Lanka are 84/1 after 8.4 overs.
