Johnson Six- (X.com)
Pakistan, who are eyeing their first win of this World Cup, started positively against Canada, as the Babar Azam-led side, bowling first, restricted Canada to just 106/7 in twenty overs.
The bowlers were on point for Pakistan, particularly, the seamers. Canada, who holds the record for the highest total (137/7) at the Nassau County International Stadium, had a day to forget with the bat except for Aaron Johnson, who was the lone fighter as he scored a fifty.
Johnson scored 52 (44), which featured four fours and four sixes. He became the third batter after Rohit Sharma and David Miller to score a half-century at the Nassau County Stadium.
Notably, Johnson was batting on 45 when he smashed Imad Wasim for a six straight down the ground to complete his fifty. He further celebrated the milestone by doing a 'Punch in the air' celebration. Johnson impressed the critics as he smashed the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf for boundaries.
