Aaron Johnson departed after a well-made fifty in the 22nd match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County Stadium on June 11.

The right-handed batter's impressive innings was brought to an end by Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah, who claimed his first wicket by dismissing the dangerous Johnson.

The pivotal moment came during Canada's innings in the 14th over. Naseem Shah, delivering at 141 kmph, bowled a back-of-a-length ball that angled into the stumps. It didn't bounce as much as Johnson expected.

Trying to back away and slash it through cover, Aaron Johnson missed the ball completely, losing his shape. The ball beat the under edge and crashed into the stumps, rattling Johnson's death rattle after reaching his 8th half-century.

This was a crucial wicket for Pakistan, who needed it to stay in the game after back-to-back losses in the tournament. It is a must-win match for them to keep their hopes alive for the Super 8.

At the time of writing, Pakistan is struggling at 87 for 6 in 17 overs, fighting to make a comeback in this critical match.
