In the ongoing eight CPL match between Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and Trinbago Knight Riders, the Falcons, batting first, put 176/6 on the board, their highest total in this CPL. 

Falcons, who are eyeing their first win of the season, got off to the perfect start courtesy of Justin Greaves and Fakhar Zaman. Once the openers returned to the pavilion, the Chris Green-led side put a break on their scoring rate. 

Imad Wasim played a crucial innings as he scored 46 (29), which featured four fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Fabian Allen provided the finishing touch with 25 (11). 

Worst Start For TKR

In reply, the Knight Riders got off to the worst possible start as Sunil Narine departed for a duck. Andries Gous and Shqkere Parris stitched a fifty-plus runs stand, but Fabian Allen struck in the 10th over of the match to get rid of Parris. 

Nicholas Pooran Goes For A Golden Duck

What followed were rare and shocking scenes from the Caribbean as in-form Nicholas Pooran registered a golden duck. On the 5th ball of the 10th over, Allen pitched the ball a bit full and Pooran flicked it straight to the bowler. 

It was a powerful shot, but Allen got his hands to it and then took a brilliant juggling catch to end Pooran's innings. The wicket triggered wild celebrations from the players as they celebrated the important wicket of LSG star batter. 

Even the crowd went berserk as they out of their seats and started dancing. It is worth noting that Pooran is the man in form as he scored 97 runs in TKR's opening game of CPL 2024 against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. He also scored his fastest fifty in CPL history in just 21 balls.
