In a breathtaking display of cricketing prowess, Nepal's batters created history in an Asian Games 2023 match against Mongolia on Wednesday, smashing three different world records and leaving the cricketing world in awe.

The highlight of the match was undoubtedly the extraordinary performance of Dipendra Singh Airee, who etched his name into the annals of cricket history. Dipendra, coming to bat at No. 5, achieved the fastest T20I fifty ever recorded in international cricket.

Dipendra reached his half-century in just nine balls, surpassing the previous record held by Yuvraj Singh for over 16 years. Yuvraj's iconic feat occurred during the inaugural ICC World T20 in 2007 when he scored a half-century against England in 12 balls, including six consecutive sixes against Stuart Broad, which still remains iconic.

Dipendra's remarkable achievement, although against the relatively inexperienced Mongolian side, was met with widespread acclaim on social media, acknowledging the sheer brilliance of his performance.

However, Dipendra Singh wasn't the sole star of Nepal's record-breaking show. Kushal Malla, a 19-year-old left-handed batsman, scripted his own tale of glory by registering the fastest-ever T20I century in cricket history. In addition, he broke the previous joint record held by David Miller and Rohit Sharma, who both needed 35 balls to reach their respective fifty-sevens, by scoring his hundred in just 34 balls.

With an astonishing 12 sixes and eight fours, Malla's explosive innings rendered the opposition's bowlers helpless. His unbeaten 137 not only powered Nepal to a historic T20I total but also captivated the cricketing world with his extraordinary talent.

Nepal, as a team, made history by posting a colossal total of 314 for the loss of just three wickets in their allotted 20 overs. This achievement marks them as the first team ever in the history of the sport to cross the 300-run mark in a T20I game. Mongolia, who had opted to field, found themselves overwhelmed by Nepal's relentless onslaught.

While the records set by Nepal are undoubtedly extraordinary, some cricket enthusiasts have raised questions about the quality of the opposition. Mongolia, being a relative newcomer to international cricket, faced a daunting task against Nepal's formidable batting lineup.
