In the thrilling showdown of the ongoing three-match ODI series between the Indian men's cricket team and Australia, the Men in Blue have displayed their dominance, securing victory in the first two encounters. The anticipation now builds for the third and final match, scheduled to unfold at the illustrious Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot on Wednesday, September 27.

The spotlight, however, extends beyond the boundaries of the cricket field. Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has added his voice to the ongoing discussion surrounding India's lineup for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023, set to commence on October 5. Singh's impassioned plea is clear: Suryakumar Yadav's inclusion in every World Cup match is not just a preference but a necessity.

Suryakumar Yadav's recent exploits with the bat have been nothing short of remarkable. The dashing batsman showcased his versatility in Mohali with a composed half-century.

Then he unleashed his true prowess in Indore, where he blazed an astonishing 72 not out off just 37 deliveries. This magnificent display included a stunning feat - four consecutive sixes off the talented Cameron Green in a single over.

Harbhajan Singh, vocalizing his sentiments on his YouTube channel, emphasized the urgency of securing Suryakumar Yadav's spot in the playing eleven.

Here'a what Harbhajan said

“Suryakumar Yadav should play every match. In whose place, I don’t know. But his name should be the first one to be written down. After that, the other players should be selected."

He further highlighted his performance

“He is a player who can win you games and completely change the complexion of a match. When he performs, he will turn the match into a one-sided one. There is no better player who can bat a better strike rate."

Harbhajan further underlined his vision, proposing Suryakumar Yadav's role as a finisher at No. 5 alongside the formidable duo of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja.

“Among finishers, we have Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, but I feel Suryakumar Yadav should play at No. 5. He should play every World Cup match. No team has a better player than him,” Harbhajan added.

As the cricketing world eagerly awaits the action in Rajkot on September 27, the debate over Suryakumar's World Cup inclusion adds an intriguing subplot to the unfolding drama.
