In a significant development, Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first in the final ODI of the three-match series in Rajkot. After winning the toss, Australian skipper Pat Cummins confirmed that the visitors have made five changes to their playing XI, handing debut ODI cap to promising spinner Tanveer Sangha.

"We are going to bat first. The pitch looks good and don't it will change much. Looking to give guys some game time ahead of the World Cup. Also, you have to manage the workload and it was good to have some days off. Results haven't gone our way but looking forward to going out today and having a hit. We have got five changes today. Mitchell Marsh is back in the side. Tanveer Sangha also is in along with Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell," said Cummins at toss.

Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma revealed that they would’ve chased anyway, saying,

“Looks a good pitch, a little dry. Typical Rajkot wicket. We were wanting to chase as well. Now that we are bowling first, lets see if we can make use of the new balls and see,"

"Obviously, myself, Virat and Kuldeep are back. As I mentioned in Press conference yesterday, a lot of players are missing from the last game. Ash is missing, Washington comes in. Ishan is also not well, he is suffering from a viral illness; he misses out as well. So, there are a lot of guys who miss out."
