[Watch] Naveen-ul-Haq & Rashid Khan's Deadly Combo Leads To Glenn Phillips' Downfall

Naveen-ul-Haq is one of the most followed cricketer from Afghanistan side after Rashid Khan and both of them have abundance of experience due to the varied T20 franchise exposure. Both of them are crucial for Afghanistan in the ongoing World Cup 2023 and played a big role in Afghan win over England at Delhi. They are up against the Kiwis now at Chennai and after Rashid's brilliant spell in which he took one wicket, Naveen picked two big wickets of set batters Glenn Phillips and Tom Latham in the 48th over to lead Afghanistan's fightback.

One of those involved a combination of Rashid Khan and Naveen-ul-Haq which broke the fifth wicket partnership of 144 runs, providing a much-needed relief in Afghanistan camp.

It was actually a full toss from Naveen-ul-Haq, outside off and Glenn Phillips tried to launch it over the fence with all his might. However, he did not get the middle of his blade and ended up hitting it off the bottom of his blade as the ball went high in the air towards left of long off. Rashid Khan in the deep ran to his left and took a fine running catch.

New Zealand eventually ended up scoring 288 in their 50 overs and Afghanistan now have an uphill task against a quality New Zealand bowling attack at Chepauk.
