Meanwhile, India have been dominating so far in the tourney. They have played three matches and won all of them. It started off with a victory against Australia and they followed it by a win over Afghanistan and arch-rivals, Pakistan. Their recent win in Ahmedabad shall further boost the confidence of the team. Currently, the Men in Blue are positioned at the top of the charts.

This will be the first match of the blockbuster event in MCA, Pune and let's have a look at India's predicted XI against Bangladesh.

Openers: Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma.

Shubman Gill is fit and was a part of the game against Pakistan. Henceforth he should open the batting with skipper Rohit Sharma. The Mumbaikar has been in surreal form with the bat in hand and has taken an attacking approach in recent times.

Sharma notched up a century against Afghanistan and followed it up with 86 against Pakistan. With 217 runs from three innings, he is the leading run-scorer for India in the bonanza event.

Middle-Order: Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul

The Indian middle order seems quite sorted at the moment. Virat Kohli will hold the prowess at no. 3 whole Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul shall follow the G.O.A.T.

Kohli and Rahul were brilliant in their tournament opener against Australia in Chennai. India were pushed back to the wall with the scoreboard reading 2-3. The former RCB duo stood up and forged a match-defining 165 runs stand to lay the foundation for a chase of 200 runs. Kohli followed it up by a fifty against Afghanistan. Another candidate that registered a fifty recently is Iyer. The Mumbaikar seems to be getting back in touch and shall retain his no.4 position.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur

All-rounders are the MVP of this Indian contingent. The presence of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja bolsters the formidability of the Indian cricket team. Hardik Pandya's bowling has been a breather to the regular bowlers whole Jadeja has been brilliant against all the three opponents thus far.

The debate may arise regarding Shardul Thakur's inclusion. But the author understands that Thakur could be a pivotal factor in this game keeping in mind he's more of a local boy to the crowd. The Mumbaikar is well versed with the conditions of MCA and has the knack of doing the unthinkable at the odd hours.

Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj

There should be no doubt as why Kuldeep Yadav should be the primary spinner for the Indian side. He has scalped five wickets from three matches so far and gave minismised the run-rate of opponents.

India are likely to forge the same lace variation provided they're fit enough to bowl their full quota. Mohammed Siraj has looked patchy with the new ball but his second or third spells have been much better so far. Indian think-tank will back him to do the job with support from Jasprit Bumrah. The Gujarat-based cricketer snapped eight wickets from three matches that includes a four-for against Afghanistan.
