Rashid Khan is one of the most celebrated players in Afghanistan and has delivered all over the world in varied T20 leagues. However, his performances against big teams in international games has been a concern but now he is finally stepping up in the big stage of World Cup. He picked three wickets against England and has started his spell against the Kiwis with the bang as well, picking a big wicket of the in-form Daryl Mitchell.

Daryl Mitchell's wicket was the fourth wicket for Afghanistan and came just a over after Azmatullah Omarzai picked two big wickets of Rachin Ravindra and Will Young. It was a shortish delivery on off from Rashid Khan and bowled at decent pace, Mitchell rocked back to pull it towards the mid-wicket fence. However, he ended up hitting it straight at Ibrahim Zadran stationed at short mid-wicket, giving Afghanistan their third wicket in 9 balls.

Earlier, Mujeeb got the big wicket of Conway in the 7th over and New Zealand for the first time in this World Cup has been put under the pump. At the time of writing, they have Tom Latham and Glenn Phillips at the crease and they need to apply themselves to take themselves out of this rut.
