In the ongoing encounter between Australia and New Zealand, the game witnessed a nerve-wracking moment as Nathan Lyon, the veteran Australian off-spinner, held on to a spectacular catch to dismiss Rachin Ravindra, jolting New Zealand's batting lineup and swinging the momentum in favour of the visitors.

The hosts bowled out the Aussies for 383 runs on day two after Green's resistance added crucial runs to the final tally . 

However, the lethal pace battery of the visitors dominated the hosts with an impeccable display of fast bowling. 

Mitchell Starc provided the early breakthrough by dismissing Tom Latham. Later, New Zealand gifted the wicket of Kane Williamson in a horrible mix-up that saw the two batters on the crease collide into one another.

The Kiwi fans had barely recovered from Williamson's loss when Josh Hazlewood struck again to break the back of the hosts' batting lineup.

In the sixth over, Hazlewood bowled a fuller delivery wide outside the off-stump. The new batter on the crease, Rachin Ravindra, went for a drive but ended up playing a lot away from his body, producing unnecessary elevation to the shot.

The aerial drive went straight to Nathan Lyon at point, who plucked the catch in an awkward position. Lyon seemed to be heading for a dive to his right while the ball went straight to his chest. Luckily, the veteran spinner didn't mess up the play and jolted the Kiwis with the third wicket inside six overs of day 2.

The momentum shifted towards Australia in no time as their experienced fast bowlers triggered a batting collapse. The visitors remain in the driver's seat and look forward to getting a significant lead.
