West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd bludgeoned a 30-ball 66* against Rangpur Riders in match number 34 of the ongoing BPL 2024 season. Turning up for Chattogram Challengers at their home ground, the 29-year-old belted five boundaries and six sixes in his whirlwind knock in the backend of the innings.

Despite Shepherd's lower-order belligerence, the Challengers still fell 18 runs short of their target, considering he received little-to-no assistance from the rest of their batting line-up.

Shepherd braces for MI season with scintillating knock

Chasing a monumental 188 at Chattogram, number six batter Romario Shepherd arrived at the crease after his team slipped to 77-4 in 11.3 overs. With 111 runs more to get from the remaining 51 deliveries, Shepherd pumped out 66* of those runs from his blade from just 30 balls.

Currently in Bangladesh, Romario Shepherd will soon travel to India to join the Mumbai Indians franchise for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. 

The West Indies all-rounder was traded into the Mumbai Indians camp in November 2023 after representing the Lucknow Super Giants franchise last year. The IPL 2024 season is slated to commence in late March.
