Australia's big-hitting all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who smashed a century in the 2nd T20I against West Indies, couldn't repeat his magic in the third game of the series, which the visitors won by 37 runs.

Maxwell, who had a struggle with the bat, scoring 12 off 14 deliveries, was cleaned up by a beautiful Romario Shephard yorker that ended his stay and hosts' hopes of white-washing the visitors.

It was the second ball of the 18th over when Shephard delivered a slower yorker that smashed Maxwell's boots and then went on to hit the stumps, giving West Indies their fifth wicket and much-wanted one, considering the right-hander has been at his best in the series.

Australia, in the end, could only manage 183 as David Warner's 81 and Tim David's 41* could not get them over the line while chasing 221 posted by the Rovman Powell-led side on the back of outstanding knocks by Andre Russell (71) and Sherfane Rutherford (67*).

West Indies were in deep trouble early on in their innings when they were reeling at 79 for five, but the resurgence by those two took them to the comfortable shores. In the end, the Caribbean side won the contest but ended up losing the series by 2-1 after scoring 200+ totals in all three games.
